Obtaining Membership
Membership Qualifications:
Membership is open to any person who is an active or past active employee of any agency within the Public Safety system. In order to be considered for membership, you must submit proof of current or former employment within the criminal justice, fire, EMS system and Military. This proof may be in the form of a copy of your academy certificate, credentials, or similar document. Once the hard copy of the membership form is received it will be reviewed by the secretary and voted on at the next meeting. If you were a member and have been non-active for over two years or have resigned, you shall submit a membership form and the required documentation. Once the hard copy is received it will be reviewed by the secretary and voted on at the next meeting. Your signature on the application indicates that the information provided is true and correct and that you will adhere to the bylaws of the organization.
Membership Dues:
Membership dues of $40.00 must be paid with application. Dues are payable on or before the 1st of January every calendar year. New members who join after July 1st will pay dues at the reduced rate of $25.00. Please make checks payable to: GOAL New England. Any applicant rejected, for any reason, will have the membership fee refunded.
All membership information provided to GOAL New England is kept strictly confidential and is not sold, lent, or provided to any persons, organizations, companies, or entities. GOAL New England is an affiliate member of Lesbians and Gays in Law Enforcement (LEGAL International).
Membership may not be denied on the basis or race, color, creed, religion, national origin, gender, or sexual orientation.
